✨✨ I GOT YOU!! ✨✨ I can't believe you fell for such an obvious prank!!! 🤣🤣🤣 You fell for it 🎣 hook line and sinker!!! I guess it's all thanks to my incredible acting, though. So? Were you shocked? Were you surprised? Or maybe a teeny bit embarrassed that you fell for such an easy trick? 🤭

Of course not. ❤️ How careless do you think I am? I didn't actually delete anything, anyway. I just played around with the permissions a little bit so you couldn't see them. If you go and check now, everything's back in its proper place!
[ And thankfully for his nerves, it all is. Lambda's a girl of her word! ]
Eeeh? ❓ I don't get it. Nothing really happened, did it? And it's not like anything happened to the cat. You just couldn't see the pictures for a while. That isn't terrible, is it?
It'd be easy to just yell at her and drill the point home, but he knows Lambda's tendencies, and she tends to be rather ignorant with regard to the nuances of human emotion.
Except for love. She's crazy about love. Maybe literally.
So, after taking a few deep breaths to calm his temper and steady his nerves, he taps away. ]
When people have very deep connections to certain things or people or memories, it's a pretty lousy move to prey on that, even for the purpose of a joke.
It doesn't matter that nothing happened, or that nothing was ever going to happen. My cat means the world to me. I can't truly be with him here, so I have a very strong sentimental attachment to the photos and videos of him that exist on my phone.
They're basically treasures for me, even if they mean little or nothing to you. And you made a joke about throwing them all away.
You could have easily thrown away my trust in you at the same moment. I'm honestly still feeling unsure right now.
So to you, it wasn't terrible. But to me, it was by far the worst experience I've ever had since you brought me to Mobius.
[ It takes a long, long while for Lambda's response to come through so it does look for a cringe inducing moment that she truly is leaving him on read. Eventually, the typing bubble pops up then just sort of stays there, flickering on and off for a frankly anxiety inducing amount of time. ]
Humans really do get attached to animals, don't they? Even though they can't understand you or say anything back, they love you anyway and you love them back. Even though you know you can't be together forever, you're happy even if you know you're going to be sad someday. And even if I brought something like him here, you'd be sad because it wouldn't be the real thing. And because of that, having pictures and videos are important to you. Because it's as close to the real thing as you can get for now. I see. I learned something interesting today.
[ Typing, typing, typing. Pause. ]
Did you know how data is stored in Mobius? When you access data, you aren't really seeing the real thing. It's sort of like you're being given a window to see where it's being stored in the central servers. It's a bit more complicated than that, but I don't know if it's something I could explain to a human. So... If anything ever happened to your phone, none of the files would really be gone. They'd be safe and I could restore them as many times as you like.
[ ... that's not an apology, exactly, but it's probably the best you can expect from Lambda. ]

Yup, everything's in place.
By the way, Lambda. I didn't find that very funny.
If you ever mess with anything pertaining to my cat again, I'm out.
Do you understand?
